Heather Nicole Allen and Jack Mahaffey Callaham, III were united in marriage Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Greensboro. The Rev. Don Ellis officiated. The wedding was directed by Jean Batten. Music was presented by Matt Bowles, organist and the UNCG Spartones. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at George K's. On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Heritage Hill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Allen, III of Greensboro. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Shirley Shoffner and Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Bonnstetter. She is a graduate of UNCG and is employed by the North Carolina Mentor Network in Greensboro.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Callaham, Jr. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Callaham, Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Edwards. He graduated from UNCG and is employed by Republic Mortgage Insurance Company in Winston-Salem.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Kirsten Filbert. Bridesmaids were Valerie Pierce, Ashley Holyfield, Megan Englebretson and Stephanie Butner.

The groom chose Ryan Smith as his best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Goehring, Matt Gonsiewski, Daniel Englebretson and Seth Phillips. Ushers were Brian Silva, cousin of the bride and Derryck Birt, Andrew Edwards, Chris Sousa, cousins of the groom. Guest registrars were Laurel Sousa and Jennifer Wood, cousins of the groom. Program attendants were Hannah Wall and Elizabeth Filbert, friends of the bride.

Following a Southern Caribbean cruise, the couple will reside in Kernersville.
