Lauren Elizabeth Brownlow and Eric David Montijo were united in marriage on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill, NC. Deacon Phil Rzewnicki officiated. Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception at The Carolina Club in Chapel Hill, NC. On Friday evening the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner celebration at the Carolina Brewery. The bride and bridesmaids were honored with a luncheon on Friday at The Nantucket Grill.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Randy Brownlow of Greensboro, NC. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brownlow, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Skenes. The bride graduated from Ragsdale High School and earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is Managing Editor for Tar Heel Monthly and is a writer for tarheelblue.com.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Ivan Montijo of Orlando, FL. He is the grandson of Ana Gonzalez and the late Miguel Diaz. He is also the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Juan Montijo. The groom graduated from Winter Park High School in Winter Park, FL and received a PharmD from UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a Pharmacy Manager for Walgreens.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The maid of honor was Samantha Feeney of Philadelphia, PA. Bridesmaids were Jaime Bryson of Durham, NC, Jacqueline McCaw of Greensboro, NC, and Katherine O'Neill of Carrboro, NC.

The groom choose his brother, Ivan Montijo of Orlando, FL as best man. The groomsmen were Benjamin Brownlow of Chapel Hill, NC, Christopher Link of Miami, FL, and Orlando Montijo of Orlando, FL.

Wedding music was provided by Roger Petrich and Stephanie McElhinny. Readings were given by Mabel Rios of Orlando, FL and Angela Vandegrift of Chapel Hill, NC. Prayer of the Faithful was lead by Ivan Montijo and Benjamin Brownlow, brothers of the groom and bride respectively. Guests were greeted by program attendant, Angela Vandegrift.

Following a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Durham, NC
