Heather Anne Witte and Allen Matthews Oakley were united in marriage on August 23, 2008 at six o'clock in the evening at the Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. The Reverend Doctor Sidney Franklin Batts officiated. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Coral Bay Club hosted by the bride's parents. On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Country of the Crystal Coast in Pine Knoll Shores.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Rebecca Browning Witte of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wayne Witte of Lakeland, Florida. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Walter Witte and the late Mr. Witte and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thomas Browning all of Lakeland, Florida.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mitchell Oakley, Junior of Greensboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mitchell Oakley, Senior and the late Mr. and Mrs. Prosper Hoffman Suitt, Junior of Oxford, North Carolina.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Rachel Elizabeth Witte of Saint Petersburg, Florida, sister of the birde, served as maid of honor. Catherine Aris Oakley, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.

Charles Mitchell Oakley, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Evan Durant Bell of Greensboro; Walton Chandler Coleman of Atlanta, Georgia; Justin Merrill Cowart of Atlanta, Georgia; Conner Lindsey Elliott of Birmingham, Alabama; John Hollis Fields of Greensboro; Neil Evan Fox, brother in law of the groom, of Cary, North Carolina; Durward Everitt Martin of Atlanta, Georgia; Charles Mitchell Oakley III, brother of the groom, of Greensboro; Markie Edmund Perry of Valdosta, Georgia; Brantley Trest Richerson of Mobile, Alabama; Randall Sigmond Shapiro of Wilmington, North Carolna. Jackson Allen Fox, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in Lakeland, Florida and the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and is employed by the Paradise Development Group. The groom is a graduate of Greensboro Day School and the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. He was a member of Kappa Alpha fraternity. The groom is with J R Dill and Associates of Charlotte, Norht Carolina where the couple will make their home.

The couple will honeymoon in Cancun.
